St. Luke Preschool offers school year programs, summer camps, and a.m. and p.m. extended care for children ages 2 - 6. By meeting the 10 program standards set by NAEYC, St. Luke Preschool ensures the highest quality preschool program for your child. Staff members have been at St. Luke for an average of 10 years, with several being on staff for over 18 years.

The longevity of the staff helps to ensure a stable environment for learning. Children learn through play. Play, therefore, is their work. The environment, if creative, challenging, and nurturing, along with teachers who facilitate the activities, ensures active involvement and learning. The curriculum is age and stage appropriate as well as individually appropriate.

St. Luke Preschool, a Christian ministry of the Church Congregation, serving the Albuquerque Community for over 60 years, offers school year programs, summer camps, and a.m. and p.m. extended care for our students. To form a partnership with families and the church to provide a safe and secure Christian environment that enables and encourages children to learn through developmentally appropriate play and instruction.
Our Staff
Report
The longevity of the staff speaks for itself. Staff members have been at St. Luke for an average of 7 years - some for over 15 years! This longevity results in a stable and consistent environment for learning and facilitates an excellent team approach to child development. Our teaching staff have either a degree in early childhood or a related field, a Child Development Associate Degree, or are in the process of earning a degree.
History of the School
Report
St. Luke Lutheran Church began a kindergarten class for congregation members in 1956. From that single class grew a Christian preschool and extended care program. We currently enroll children from two years of age through age six. St. Luke is well respected and its reputation in the community is long standing.
Parent Advisory Committee PAC

Parent involvement strengthens our school and sense of community and we look forward to partnering with you in the growth and development of your child. Parents are invited to serve or volunteer with our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC).

The purpose of the Parent Advisory Committee is to provide additional opportunities for communication between staff and parents, to give a voice to parental ideas and opinions, to encourage parent education events, and to allow parents as much involvement in the life of the school as their time and schedules permit.
Our Programs
Report
The Younger Multi-Age Programs focus on the development of language, motor, and social skills, through a variety of hands-on art, music, dance, movement, literacy, math, and science experiences. We encourage the development of social skills and the respect of self and others. We provide support and encouragement with regard to toilet training and other self-help skills.
