What can I deduct under Meals and Entertainment? You can deduct 50% of the cost for business meals if you are dining with a customer or are eating while traveling out of town (grabbing lunch in the city or getting a cup of coffee to enjoy at your desk does not qualify). Food provided as business promotion or meal expenses for a company picnic or holiday party is deductible at 100%.
