Because all the cliches are true: now is now, a picture is worth a thousand words, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take, if "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts we'd all be fat and happy. What I do love is family photographs, and the invaluable hold they have on us for generations.

Born in Staten Island, NY, and raised in Portland, Oregon, I am a mover and a shaker, a fiercely devoted friend, and a travel addict, with a lifelong love of documenting people just as they are. I briefly attended art school in NYC, but returned to the Pacific Northwest (despite hating the rain) to study criminal justice and work in the criminal defense world.

I find that children are most comfortable (ie most likely to show me their true selves) at home, and I love the idea of our children having photos of themselves in the home they grew up in.
