In 1977, John Bainbridge opened the first Australian Swim School in Fountain Valley, California, after finishing his thesis about infant swimming. With a couple of Instructors and our trademark infant back floating method, we were off and swimming, educating Orange County about the dangers of infant/toddler drownings as well as the wonderful rewards of swimming for health and fitness.

Our program is specifically designed to teach each child a specific set of skills in a sequential manner to successfully progress them to the next level. Each level is structured to build from the one prior to it; adding a few new skills with each promotion! Opposed to many other swim schools, our program has a strong focus on technique and form.

This turns your little tykes into ace swimmers with a love of the water.
