The Alice Noble Ice Arena was established in 2002 as a gift to the Wooster, Ohio community by the Donald and Alice Noble Foundation. Founded on the Nobles' lifelong passion for ice skating, the arena provides a state-of-the-art facility featuring an NHL-sized ice sheet, five team locker rooms, and amenities supporting ice-related activities. Our mission is to promote skating, hockey, and community engagement through programs for all ages, including Learn to Skate, youth and adult hockey leagues, figure skating clubs, and seasonal camps.With 350+ spectator seats and versatile event spaces, we host tournaments, birthday parties, and community gatherings while maintaining a family-friendly environment. Learn to Skate
Our Learn to Skate USA-endorsed program develops fundamental skating skills for ages 3+. Certified instructors guide participants through progressive curriculum modules that prepare skaters for hockey, figure skating, or recreational enjoyment. The 8-week session structure builds confidence and technical proficiency in a supportive environment.
Hockey Leagues
We offer hockey opportunities for all ages and skill levels, including Learn to Play Hockey, youth leagues, adult leagues, and the Wooster Youth Hockey Association Oilers. Specialized training includes RapidShot hockey puck system sessions and Stick & Puck practice times for skill development.
Public Skating
Recreational skating sessions welcome skaters of all abilities. Public skate times include weekend family sessions and weekday evening hours. Skate rentals (sizes toddler 8 to men's 13) and safety equipment are available. Participants must follow safety guidelines and assume inherent skating risks.
Birthday Parties
Celebrate special occasions with themed ice skating parties. Packages include 2-hour rink access, skate rentals, and private room use. Public skate parties accommodate up to 20 guests ($275), with additional guests at $10/skater. Private ice rentals available at $295/hour.
Summer Camps
Our summer day camps for ages 5-12 combine sports, arts & crafts, and field trips with daily ice skating. Extended care from 7:30am-5:30pm includes supervised activities and certified staff. Weekly rates ($275) include snacks and special programming.

Public skate sessions run daily with varied hours: Weekdays 9am-9pm, Fridays until 11pm, Saturdays 9am-5pm, and Sundays noon-5pm.
Do you offer skating lessons for beginners?
Yes! Our Learn to Skate USA program provides structured lessons for all ages with certified instructors. Sessions run $96 for 8-week programs.
Can I rent the ice rink for private events?
Private ice rentals are available at $295/hour. Packages include access to spectator areas, concessions, and event planning support for tournaments or special occasions.
What hockey programs do you offer?

My daughter and I were looking for something to do while waiting for the Amish that we brought here from iowa. We were pleasantly surprised to find the ice arena open. The staff was very helpful and happy. The skates that we rented were great! Loved the Christmas music. I wish we had an ice skating rink like this where we came from.

Great ice arena, one of the colder ones around so, dress warm going here. Concessions stand, big lobby, and plenty of bleacher style seating. Kids always have a good time playing here.

The first time I ever ice skated was at Alice Noble eleven years ago. It has continued to be an amazing rink through the years!!! Staff is so helpful and kind, the facility is always spotless, and the ice is very well taken care of! This rink is a great place to learn to skate or advance your skills!!!

Unlike what the other reviewer said, I wouldn't call this place overpriced at all. This on par or cheaper than most arenas up near me (Greater Cleveland) and most places don't even have ice walkers, they have cones. Giving this place a 1 star for the reasons stated was pretty harsh. It's a clean and friendly environment, in a nice town with plenty of places to grab a meal if you go there to visit.

Paid money for my daughter to skate waited over a hour to get a ice Walker parents didn't know how to share and only thought of their kid. And management said nothing they could do about that its first come first serve. And they only have 4 of them. Make rules or get more walkers or limit the amount of newbies allowed inside. Only bright side is I got my money back for my kid not like that made her or me happy anyways as it crushed her heart that she didn't get to skate. I will never give this place another dime and I suggest others don't either unless you want to deal with rude
