Melisa Ferriola began her career in make-up at the Pennsylvania State University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Arts and Science with an emphasis in theatre. Melisa studied and applied stage and special effects make-up for the university theatre company. After graduating from college, Melisa worked as a free-lance make-up artist for a theatre company in Santa Barbara, CA.

Permanent Cosmetics is cosmetic tattooing. Colored pigment is implanted into the upper layer of the dermis. Also, permanent cosmetics and body art is an industry within itself. It is completely separate from the "Beauty Industry." Area technicians are claiming to be "in the industry" for several years, inflating their experience.

The gallery of photos below are all clients from Lasting Looks. All Permanent Cosmetics have been done by Melisa Ferriola. Most of the pictures are taken immediately after the procedure and so the look is darker and stronger than the healed result. During the healing process, the top epidermal layer of skin is shed taking excess pigment with it.
