In 1945, the Higgins Lumber Company built the structure that now houses Conwell Ace. In one particularly forward thinking ad campaign, Higgins Lumber advocated conservation of building materials and intelligent design. While Higgins Lumber was sold in the 70s, the commitment to environmental awareness lives on at Conwell Ace.
