In 1980, three high school friends met in the suan, the nickname for their old school in Bangkok, Thailand.
Thirty-four years later in 2014, they joined up to open the restaurant using the name of the place they first met. Suan Thai and Japanese' interior pays tribute with a panoramic photo of their old school. The black-and-white checkered floor, black sushi bar and open kitchen complete the sleek design while accents of pink and blue complement the matching servers' uniforms.
