At Dalvino, we take pride in our Italian heritage and continue that passion into the handcrafted wines we produce. Charlie Dalpiaz has been learning the art of making hand-crafted wine since the early 1950s.
Before discovering his own passion for wine, Charlie has fond memories from his childhood of his grandfather, Camillo Dalpiaz, making wine in the cellar of their home in Kulpmont, Pennsylvania; a thriving coal town for young Italian immigrants in the early 1900s.I remember as a young boy in the 50's walking into my grandfather's (Camillo's) cellar and seeing his wine fermenting in oak barrels.
