Raleigh Charter High School challenges college-bound students in a creative and supportive atmosphere to become knowledgeable, thoughtful, contributing citizens. Interested in applying to RCHS? We, of RCHS, intend to cultivate the understanding and practices that sustain individual self-determination and community self-government.

We have adopted the following principles in order to ensure that all who pass through our halls can imagine, create, and govern a more perfect world. Our 2021-22 goal is to raise $325,000. As a line item in our annual budget, the Phoenix Fund is critical to our day-to-day operations. At RCHS, we have always relied on caring and steadfast support from our community.

In 2011, and after many contributions of time, talent and resources from our faculty, staff, parents and students, RCHS moved to its permanent home at 1307 Glenwood Avenue in the Glenwood-Brooklyn neighborhood of downtown Raleigh. From 1999 through 2011, Raleigh Charter High School was located in Historic Pilot Mill, an architecturally stunning set of buildings behind Peace College.

Our students learn to be citizens in a challenging academic setting. We graduate citizens of the world by creating an interconnected learning environment that combines a demanding college-preparatory education with a curriculum that teaches and models citizenship skills.

Raleigh Charter High School is committed to the ongoing work of creating a diverse, equitable, and antiracist school. Raleigh Charter High School feels strongly that our school must take a clear stand in support of antiracism and equity. We join national protests in echoing that Black Lives Matter.
Admissions

Individual results were emailed to parents of applicants. Parents can also view their child's lottery results and wait list status by logging into their Smart Choice/School Mint parent account at www. RCHSapplication.com. Students will be admitted off the wait list over the summer as spots open up.
