Single and double mats, standard, economy, archival, overstocks and special buys are available. They are all standard grades of mat board we have in-stock. All are top quality manufactured mats. They are discounted for several reasons. One, we may have ordered too much. Or, they are left over mat board from a large job.

There are many grades of mats. We sort them into three categories: Archival, Standard and Economy. Each has their own specific characteristics and uses. The best way to select mats is to decide what qualities are important to you and for your project. Precut, Archival 100% Cotton mats and Archival Alpha Cellulose mats in white and black core.

Our computer controlled machines can do amazing work limited only by the blade. Awards for dance, sailing, ballet, soccor, basketball are all available in addition to church and environmental awards. Single Color Metallic Imprinted and 4 Color Printed mats are now available due to new digital technology. Dies and plates were additional cost and had limitations on size. We now can print single color designs, logos and lettering in metallic colors without the expense of a die. Further, we can print 4-color designs in any size up to 28x36 inches.
V Groove
Report
Vgrooves are a traditional decoration of custom mats. They are created by cutting a bevel cut half through the mat and then returning to cut the mirror image of the bevel cut in such a way that the bottom of the two cuts meet each other creating a "v groove" in the surface of the mat. With the advent of computerized, knife cutting machinery; we can do much more than a simple v groove around the window of that mat.
