Enjoy furnished Captain's Lodge on the Rapids as a one month long rental through June or ask about this fall and winter. We had a great time at the lodge. The place is huge and has a ton of bedrooms. The kids loved the ping pong table and playing in the river our front of the house. Ben, the contact for the house is super friendly and easy to communicate with about anything about the house, property or local area.

Our Misty Annex is a small cabin with living area, full bath, queen bedroom with private bathroom access, fully furnished kitchen with gas range, living room with Direct TV and DSL internet access, French doors onto deck facing Shenandoah River to allow Misty River Retreat guests to book up to 10 guests.

Please note: in order to rent the Misty Annex, you must also rent Misty River Retreat House. If Misty River Retreat is booked, the annex is NOT available as a separate rental for other guests. Our NEW Misty Annex is a small cabin with living area, full bath, and kitchen to allow Misty River Retreat guests to optionally book up to 10 guests.

Just wanted to thank you for a wonderful vacation. Misty river retreat was truly a retreat. It was clean comfortable and convenient. I also wanted to thank you for being available and a phone call away. We had our trip planned around hurricane Florence, I appreciate you sending me weather reports and keeping me posted on the river reports.

Weather apps/DC/ Baltimore/ Richmond/National "shows" do not accurately predict our local weather. We require a two-night minimum on regular weekends and a three-night minimum on all holiday weekends. Country Place Lodging & Camping on the Shenandoah River Country Place is perfect for groups, families, schools, offices wishing their own private campground.
