We are a highly competitive basketball program built on the foundational principles of faith, leadership and athletics, which empowers youth to develop skills to be successful on-the-court and off-the-court. The foundational values of EPIC build the kids to be great people, not just great basketball players.
We learned early on that the program is just that, a family. The coaches exceeded our expectations and served as excellent role models and mentors for our boys. We feel blessed to have found a high level basketball home for our family. It is much more than just basketball.

About
Report
Thank you for taking the time to learn about EPIC Youth! In 2010, EPIC president and founder, Justin Anthony, took over an Elgin area feeder basketball program. After two feeder seasons, Justin joined forces with childhood friend, Josie Wallace to form a three-team organization that is "more than basketball".
Testimonials
Report
My son Michael had played organized basketball for about 3 years before playing on the EPIC team. In one season, he learned more skills and work ethic than he ever had. A tremendous thanks and recognition of the level of the EPIC coaches and program. Plus we've taken a group skills session that was phenomenal.

There is no doubt that confidence is a key driver for success amongst adolescents and teenagers. Education, sports and a relationship with Christ are time-tested factors that build children's sense of self-worth. Everyday EPIC teachers and coaches make sacrifices for their students in an effort to equip them with the tools to be confident and successful.
Off-The-Court
Report
EPIC is a unique organization that combines elite basketball training with formalized character-building programs. Team practices include weekly devotionals that focus on real life application of Christian values. In life, it is important for the youth to have a strong self-image. EPIC Youth believes that by clearly understanding one's identity in Christ it will increase one's self-esteem.
On-The-Court
Report
In short, EPIC Youth had a goal to make young men into good decision makers. The EPIC Hoopz philosophy on the court is the same. On both ends of the floor, EPIC wants to develop players that react to whatever in front of them, not systematic robots. Off the court, we are building and developing young men for their future endeavors, so it only makes sense to do the same on the court.
