Report
My work in couple's therapy is guided by the work of the Gottman Institute and Sue Johnson's Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). These frameworks provide both language and techniques to help couples identify and understand their stuck places and shift from destructive patterns of interaction. EFT (Emotionally-Focused Therapy) is a powerful and effective approach to shifting negative and destructive patterns in relationships.
My Approach
Report
I believe that each individual treads their own and unique path towards change. I also believe that for change to occur, people need a safe, warm, and protected environment where they can reflect on themselves and their lives in the presence of a non-judgmental and caring witness. For many people, the therapeutic encounter is the first time in their lives when they feel deeply seen and heard.
