In the tanning world, many people know that tanning has its benefits. It's common knowledge that indoor tanning (in some ways) can be beneficial but how many people have knowledge of all the benefits? One that might be the most interesting is that it can reduce the risk of certain cancers.

It sounds odd, but one of the benefits of indoor tanning is the major boost of vitamin D and that can reduce the risk of skin (compared to sun tanning), kidney, ovarian, and breast cancer.Spending time in the suns rays can be very damaging if you don't protect your skin. A lot of times people can lose track of the hours spent under that beautiful but dangerous sunshine and can expose their body to those harmful UV rays.

Red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation or low-level light therapy (LLLT), works by stimulating the body's natural healing processes at the cellular level. The process uses LEDs to emit concentrated red and near-infrared light to be absorbed through the bare skin. From there, light photons are absorbed in the tissues and stimulates energy-producing "organelles" known as mitochondria inside cells.

This revolutionary device combines low level light therapy and infrared therapy using light emitting diodes (LEDs). Low-level light therapy is used for its healing and anti-inflammatory properties. The specific wavelength of the low-level LEDs produced by POLY targets the cells in our bodies to produce more energy and speed up the healing process by reducing local inflammation for conditions such as neuropathy, tendonitis, arthritis and bursitis.

During a red light therapy treatment, chromophores within our cellular mitochondria absorb red and infrared light photons, and convert them into energy.
