These humble beginnings included an Administration Building, two dormitories, and a dairy barn, eight faculty and 117 students. Fast forward 100 years later and you have the largest community college and the fourth largest institution of higher learning in the state of Mississippi. Through it all, Hinds has remained true to the mission: to provide a quality and affordable education.

At Hinds, it's easy to enroll, and there's no application fee! Hinds Community College has an open-door admission policy that offers all students general admission to the college. For students who want to enroll at Hinds CC and receive both college and high school credit for their coursework. We recognize the academic value of what students have learned through experiences outside the college classroom.
