To enrich the lives of persons with special needs/disabilities and foster functional independence with increased self-confidence and improved skills of daily living through the use of safe and enjoyable adaptive, equine-assisted activities. Equestrian Zone is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization, that provides Adaptive riding and hippotherapy to individuals with disabilities.
We serve children and adults with a wide diversity of physical, cognitive, mental and emotional disabilities. Horseback riding moves the rider's body in a manner most similar to a human gait; therefore, riders show improvement in posture, balance, muscle control, and sensory motor skills. Psychologically, riders make gains in self-awareness, self-confidence, self-discipline and concentration.

Report
Patient success stories are overwhelmingly joyful and are truly the best reflection of the impact to our community. Just recently, we had a patient's mother who gave a positive report that after only 8 weeks of hippotherapy, her child who is 5 and has a diagnosis of Autism is finally able to transition from baby food to solid food because of the movement and challenges of the horse.
