Charter fishing trips typically leave the dock early in the morning at "safe light". We watch the sun rise on the horizon as we ride out to our destination. On the scenic boat ride through the marsh, witness an abundance of wildlife, including pelicans and other sea birds, alligators, nutria, and many more.

What a great way to start the year! On Friday I had the pleasure of fishing with Jacob and Mike. They were staying with their wives in the French Quarter and were looking get on some Big Redfish. We left Shell. They were a little slow to get started, but we finally talked a few speckled trout into cooperating.

When the summer heat is getting too hot, take an evening fish. The speckled trout are still biting.
