I have to update my review: I finally tried the dessert and I found out the owners wife makes all of the desserts. Okay so the cheesecake one of the BEST cheesecakes I've ever had I wanted to go back and order a whole cheesecake. I also tried the lemoncello cake oh baby! Both deserts were amazing! Also the staff is very friendly, always smiling and will even make small talk with you while you wait on your order.
It's hard to stay away from Giuseppe's def a hidden gem.

Everything we got was SO salty, it was almost inedible. And the Alfredo sauce had a horrible taste like a dirty dish rag. Thankfully, someone else was paying for the meal. I would like to think this was just a bad night, but I don't know how the food could be as bad as it was and even be served.

This place is so nice and personable. The food is amazing and prices are good for the large servings. Wow!! The pasta salad is pretty and yummy. Took home a serving of Teramisu it is great!! For my meal I had Shrimp Pesto Linguine yum yum yum yum!! Yes is took a minute to find but I would have driven an hour for the wonderful place. Thanks so much for a delightful and wonderful place that I really enjoyed!!

Incredible food and super friendly staff. All their sandwiches are amazing. Pastas are to die for. Pizza is breathtaking. THIS IS A SIGN TO EAT HERE!

Great little Italian spot. Everything on the menu is fantastic. The staff is really friendly as well. I recommend getting the sauteed mushrooms and the baked feta appetizers. The seven vegetable pasta is also excellent if you don't want meat.

Giuseppe's is a Glen Iris GEM!!! Been open since 2002. It's quaint and they have outdoor seating as well. Delicious pizza and pasta and desserts. They also have salads and subs and calzones. The Baked Feta is always a must-have. And I alternate between the Meat Special and Giuseppe's Special when it comes to the 'za. So delicious and one of my favorite hidden gems of Birmingham.
