Caps
Report
Also known as rain caps, chimney covers, fireplace caps, flue covers, or rain covers. Superior Chimney's professional grade chimney cap assemblies constitute a snow & rain cap, animal guard, spark arrester, and a wind inhibitor. Termination Assemblies (chimney covers) are essential in preserving fire worthiness and maintaining a safely utilized chimney.
Chase Covers
Report
Prefabricated (pipe) chimneys which are enclosed by a wooden or masonry chase need a chase cover to close off the top of the chase and exclude water and animals from the inside of the chimney. The chase cover slides down over the top of the chase much like the lid of a shoebox. The pipe chimney itself protrudes through a hole in the chase cover.
Chimney Rebuilding
Report
Also known as chimney reconstruction, brick chimney repairs, fireplace chimney repairs, partial chimney rebuilds, roof line up chimney rebuilds, or total chimney rebuilds. Cracking, water leaking, element exposure, usage, time, and lack of preventative maintenance render your chimney structurally vulnerable, inviting the need for fireplace chimney repairs, and/or requiring a chimney rebuild.
How often should I have my chimney swept? This a tougher question than it sounds. The simple answer is: The National Fire Protection Association Standard 211 says, Chimneys, fireplaces, and vents shall be inspected at least once a year for soundness, freedom from deposits, and correct clearances. Cleaning, maintenance, and repairs shall be done if necessary.
