The New Mexico School of Music is the premiere music school in the state with over 650 students and 40 experienced instructors. We teach virtually all instruments and voice at our two convenient locations, and welcome students of all ages and levels. Our #1 priority remains the health and safety of all of our students, teachers, and staff.
Our teachers and staff will continue frequent disinfecting of all surfaces, including pianos. Our early childhood music classes encourage children's natural curiosity to explore music through singing, movement, listening, playing instruments, and interactive activities with their peers, parents, and instructors.

New Mexico School of Music has a wide variety of instruments available for rent and purchase, including used pianos and keyboards. If you're planning a private party, charity event, or any other type of event, our students and/or faculty would love to perform at your function. A wide variety of events are held at the New Mexico School of Music.
Director - Lawrence Blind
Report
Lawrence Blind began his piano studies in Rochester, New York, at the age of six. He made his New York debut at Carnegie Recital Hall three years later, and returned for an encore performance at age twelve. As a teenager he was awarded scholarships for piano study at Chautauqua Institution and the Tanglewood Institute.

Founded in 2005, the New Mexico School of Music is home to over 600 students of all ages and musical abilities. Our facilities are specifically designed to create a quality learning atmosphere and include a recital hall, comfortable teaching rooms and a cozy waiting areas.

Music Lessons

NMSM offers private lessons on virtually all instruments and voice year-round designed to fit each student's learning style and musical goals. Lessons are scheduled once a week, Monday through Saturday, at your convenience, for 30, 45, or 60 minutes. Students can begin lessons at any time of the year, with no prior experience required.
