My teaching approach developed from knowledge gained from many individuals. These individuals include the staffs from the golf schools where I taught and from hundreds of teachers and performance coaches in the game. It developed from years studying the techniques and games of professional players from around the world and from the game's history.

To understand my approach to ball striking, I want you to think about some great players. Picture swings of some of the game's all time best, picture swings of some great tour professionals that come to your mind. Picture swings of some great players you know or play with personally. Now ask yourself this question.

I can think of a large number of top players that are mediocre ball strikers with phenomenal short games. I cannot think of many top players that are phenomenal ball strikers with mediocre short games. Why is this commonly seen throughout the game? Why does the short game have such a large bearing on scoring?

How important is putting in becoming a top player? It is commonly described as the biggest decider in tournament victories on top tours. It is often the tour professionals that putt best who take home big paychecks and move up in rankings. Conversely, putting dramatically hurts scoring when at a low level.
Communication & Learning Styles

In terms of my communication style, I always follow an important principle in golf instruction known as "less is more." When a golfer is working on certain movements in their golf technique, they should focus on a small number of movements in a simple manner. I can't stress the importance of this statement enough.
