After 30 years of proudly serving as an active duty US Marine, Mike decided to take a break from life at 100 mph and do something totally different. A diehard car lover, he began detailing cars for friends, family etc., on the side in North Carolina over 20 years ago. This continued in California, Japan, Arizona, Hawaii and now here in the Northwest.

That is an actual quote from a client. Vehicles come in many shapes and sizes. Some are new, some are old, some get abused and some are rarely out of the garage. Simply saying, "I need a detail" is too vague, it's why I never refer to any detail as a "full detail." Some think a detail is a wash, wax and a vacuum and others think its not a detail unless the paint is leveled smooth, compounded, polished and jeweled like a mirror.

This is not knocking the tunnel wash that has a "premium detail option, " like most things they have a purpose, but it's not pro level detailing. Aside from the obvious (one comes to your house and the other does not) the level of work performed, the products and tools used, the experience level and the "attention to detail" is usually going to be significant.
