About
Report
Rainy Day Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center was inspired by Ella, a local girl with Rett Syndrome. After seeing the physical and emotional benefits for Ella, her parents wanted to help more children and adults in the community have access to equine-assisted therapies. As local programs have changed, an increased need for therapeutic riding has developed in our community.
Our Horses
Report
Our team of horses was selected for a career in therapeutic riding based on temperament, age, experience, training, and overall health and conformation. Our equine team is the basis of Rainy Day Ranch and all we do. We love our horses!. Jazzy and Flash are both new to our program and will be used in both of the able body and adaptive riding program.

The instructor incorporates various exercises and activities to build each riders confidence in themselves and around horses.
Physical Therapy Program

In PT sessions at Rainy Day Ranch the therapist uses the movement of the horse to address the patient's challenges, such as deficits in balance, strength, endurance, coordination, communication, and attention. PT incorporating hippotherapy as part of a treatment plan is lead by a licensed therapist.
