The BNS Pumpkin Patch was a blast this year. Thank you to all of the wonderful families that volunteered to make this day extra special. Thanks to our amazing board and many thoughtful and generous donations, we are pleased to announce that we now have an additional classroom right in the middle of our beautiful outdoor space.
This room will be used for so many wonderful activities- music, yoga, gross motor play when we can't go outside, and much more! If you are interested in applying for the 2021-2022 school year, the application is below. Please fill it out and return it by Fax (914 941 4453), email (director@briarcliffnurseryschool.com) or mail (40 Morningside Dr. Ossining, NY 10520).

About Us
Report
Briarcliff Nursery School was established in 1947 as a non-profit parent cooperative and has owned its present site since 1955. Young children acquire knowledge when they are actively engaged in concrete hands-on experiences. We believe knowledge is constructed rather than copied and takes place through the child's active participation.
Facilities
Report
From the outside in, our school is designed to welcome, engage and stimulate children. The building contains three large, inviting and bright classrooms extensively furnished with age appropriate materials and equipment. Interest centers and learning activities are set about the room and may be connected to a current project.
Philosophy
Report
Young children acquire knowledge when they are actively engaged in concrete hands-on experiences. We believe knowledge is constructed through children's active engagement, rather than "taught" through direct instruction. Our program provides a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of the "whole child."
Summer Programs
Report
Our summer camp program takes place on the two-acre school grounds. It provides a balance of activites including, but not limited to: nature projects/experiences, story time, music, creative movement, water and sand play, and crafts. Summer at Briarcliff Nursery School allows students to stretch their minds and bodies while enjoying and exploring the world around them.
