
We are open for walk-in painting or you can shop online from the fun variety of TO-GO KITS we've created that you can paint at home and return to our Plano studio for firing. Arts on Fire Studio in Plano, IL allows you to paint on pottery, canvas or boards, hand-build or wheel throw clay, fuse glass, create holiday and hand print art and more. No experience needed. We host classes and workshops plus Birthday Parties and Special Events too.

Browse our samples for ideas, tips, and tools. Stickers, stencils, stamps and sponges are available to create unique works of art. Even if you've never painted before, we can get you started and you will be amazed at what you can create. We recommend you set-up your space with a plastic tablecloth (or a shopping bag under each piece would work too).
Pottery Painting

People of all ages delight in seeing their creations come to life! You can choose something whimsical like a fairy garden or even functional pottery like plates, bowls and mugs. We also have picture frames, keepsake boxes, flower pots, vases, canisters, cookie jars, pet bowls, seasonal ceramics and more.
Hand-Building w/Clay

Currently, hand-building with clay is offered through monthly workshops where aspiring clay artists will learn basic clay hand-building techniques, like slab and coil structure. Check our class offerings for things like mugs, boxes, vases, dishes and more. Workshops are currently planned for pieces like mugs, jars, boxes, vases, dishes and more.
Wheel Throwing

If you have tried a Wheel Workshop and are interested in learning more about Wheel Throwing, the next step is to try a class. Instructor will cover more in depth pottery wheel techniques. More projects can be tried and if you would like to keep any there will be a $5 fee per piece. It all depends on your design and inspiration.
Canvas Painting

Quite often the design you choose has options (example: sunrise or sunset). Simply talk with us about your options so that the colors we give you work best with your plans. It all depends on your design and inspiration. But many pieces with instruction take about an 1.5-2 hours to paint, while your more detailed ones can take 3+ hours.
