Guzyal Conklin is the founder and teacher of Family Joy of Music School. Her love for music, children, and teaching gave her the vision to create a music school in a happy and positive environment where families and children of the community can embrace the joy of music in their everyday activities.
Guzyal has been teaching piano for over eighteen years to children of all ages, including children with special needs and adults. Mrs. Conklin holds a BA in piano performance from Stony Brook University and also had the opportunity to study piano at Julliard Art School of Music.

Private piano lessons for children and adults

Every child is unique and has his/her own pace of the learning process, we design a customized program for every student in our school. The student will explore the different genres of music from folk to pop songs and from jazz to classical pieces. We welcome parents to stay in the class and strongly encourage them to help with homework practice.
Private music lessons for preschool age children

This class is created for children who are in need for private classes. There are many activities throughout the class. Your child will play basic instruments and sing solfege, have fun learning notes and basic music theory, playing musical games and exploring piano by playing duets with the teacher in the class.
