The owner, after graduating from the University of California at Berkeley, went on to do her PhD studies at the University of Pennsylvania.
At the University of Pennsylvania, she was recruited by a large investment bank and spent five years as an investment banker on Wall Street. Looking for something a little more fulfilling and creative, Normin opened the store in 2003. The store is located at 14 Lewis Street, just off Greenwich Avenue.
