Skippers Seafood

This is my new favorite place for seafood! Food is terrific and so is the service. Crabcakes were absolutely delicious. Better than many I've had at much more expensive restaurants in Mystic. The fried shrimp was awesome too..large prawns fried golden brown . Great fries and delicious onions rings too and you can BYOB if you like. Highly recommend this establishment !

After a wonderful day at Harkness Memorial Park in October I stopped at Skippers which is open all year. They are known for fast fun seafood platters and many other choices. I placed my order for the clam strip platter, went out to the deck and selected my table, waited about 10 minutes and I was called to the pickup window to find this heaping plate of clams and fries! Delicious and hot. Coleslaw and tartar sauce accompanied the dish. You can also eat inside. I say give them a try you will be so happy!

Great seafood, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. My friend and I stopped there for a bite to eat after we walked the boardwalk. The food was excellent and the service was great. The prices were Fair for market value of seafood right now. We will definitely go back.

Fresh! Fresh! Fresh! Great little place with BIG food. The view is very relaxing. Byob and you have a perfect casual dinner.

The fried fish at Skipper's was just fantastic...we ate there twice during our 3 day stay. And even though seafood is their speciality, we cant stop thinking about the grilled chicken too. A must-visit if you are in the area.

Visiting Waterford, CT and wanted some seafood. Stopped at Skippers in Niantic, right across from the water. Outdoor and indoor eating, but it was really warm out, so we ate on the patio. A great selection of seafood, reasonable prices, with friendly and quick service. It was terrific having lunch by the water and enjoying some great tasting fresh seafood. Highly recommend.

FOOD IS GOOD & TASTES FRESH. FOOD IS COOKED TO ORDER, THE WAY SEAFOOD SHOULD BE, & THEY GIVE YOU A BIG PORTION.-- WE BOTH HAD THE PLATTER WITH THE FRIED FISH, SHRIMP, CLAM STRIPS, & SCALLOPS. HE HAD FRIES AS HIS SIDE & MY SIDE WAS SWEET POTATO FRIES(EXTRA CHARGE)& THEY TASTED GOOD ALSO. I EVEN LIKED THE COLE SLAW! --NICE VIEW OF THE WATER IF YOU SIT AT ONE OF THE OUTSIDE TABLES. THERE IS ALSO INSIDE SEATING. THEIR BATHROOMS ARE CLEAN.

On a recent, unseasonably warm March day, my husband and I decided to try a CT shoreline restaurant that we'd not been to recently. During the 45 minute drive to Skipper's, I attempted to order online for take out. The app wasn't very user friendly and wouldn't allow me to enter my credit card info. I decided to call in the order and after dialing the number on their website, reached an answering machine! Okay, so we figured we had no choice but to order our meals once we arrived at the restaurant.
We found a parking spot in the busy lot and within 5 minutes, had gone inside Skipper's Restaurant

The food was delicious and so fresh! We ordered fish and chips, fried shrimp and mac and cheese for our daughter. The fries are one of the best I've had in a long time! The place has also beautiful views of the water 😍
