Kim Dao's Alterations

Kim has been doing alterations and tailoring for women and men for over 30 years. During the 80's, in Vietnam, she started her own business and also taught more than 70 students in tailoring. Many of those students successfully started their own tailoring and alterations businesses in Vietnam. Some are living here in the United States and working in alterations departments across the country.

Arriving in Cincinnati late 1990, Kim started doing alterations for wedding gowns and formal wear in the Reading Bridal District. After a few years, she moved to an upscale department store, Parisian, in Kenwood mall, and worked there for 10 years. During the time at Parisian, she was summoned many times to travel to nearby states to make difficult alterations.
