Your Source for Artisan Coffee & Wholesale Solutions
Founded in 1991, Joe Van Gogh has grown from a single Chapel Hill cafe into a multifaceted coffee enterprise. Our journey began with a passion for hands-on craftsmanship, evolving from Robbie Roberts' early career in tactile industries like print media and film production. We prioritize meaningful connections across the global coffee supply chain, partnering directly with farmers, producers, and importers worldwide. Sustainability drives our operations, evidenced by solar-powered roasting facilities and compostable cafe products. As pioneers in adopting the Loring Smart Roaster, we maintain industry leadership in energy efficiency. Our comprehensive offerings span artisan coffee roasting, cafe experiences, wholesale distribution, equipment maintenance, and barista training.

With over three decades of expertise, we combine technical innovation with traditional methods to deliver exceptional coffee experiences. Our commitment to quality extends beyond the cup, fostering community engagement and environmental responsibility. We serve both local Triangle-area customers and international partners, maintaining a human-centered approach in an increasingly automated world. Nice outside patio on broad street. The road is a little too busy to be totally at ease. There are no tables inside and no outlets outside so i cannot recommend this as a place to work. They roast their own beans and coffee is quite good.
a large selection of both pastries and sandwiches i think. I ordered a savory tart for 2.75 and it was absolutely delicious. They make all their pastries which is a huge plus

This coffee is so perfectly roasted and prepared that you will break up with milk and sugar and move to drinking your coffee black. Simply delicious. Very welcoming environment.

Worst service. I arrived at 9:10 AM and left at 9:45am because I never got a simple hot chocolate and a slice of banana bread. They had the time to make so many lattes and so many Americanos to distribute between the ones that were there after me, but did not take the time to make a simple hot chocolate. Also, I noticed I was the only person who was asked to give a tip, but everyone else behind me did not get asked a single question but greeted with respect and taken care of instantly!
