The mission was for a good cup of coffee in Bethel, NY. The passion was a desire to connect with the community. So, being passionate women on a mission, in 2011, we opened Java Love Coffee Roasting Co. and moved a classic Dietrich 12 kilo coffee roaster into our storefront on Kauneonga Lake. Now, whether you buy it in our shop, or check us out online, we promise you will always get delicious, fresh-roasted coffee.

In the heart of downtown Montclair, lies our Church Street coffee bar location. Surrounded by numerous restaurants and shops, this walkable neighborhood is a family-friendly hot spot. It's quite common to see local business owners and kids after school enjoying a little love. A lot of kids think Java Love is a cool place to hang out with their friends.

That first shop was about 400 square feet (it felt much smaller) with our roaster taking up much of that space. So, for the first two years, that's where we roasted, managed production and had a little space to brew coffee and serve customers - but only about 4 customers could be in the shop at a time because there was no room.
