Color: Some contact lenses are available in color, even if vision correction is not needed. It is possible to wear non-prescription sunglasses while wearing contact lenses for your vision correction. Straight ahead vision often is better with contact lenses than with eyeglasses.

We all want to protect our eyesight and that is why it is important to have annual vision tests. These checks allow your doctor to detect and measure the front of your eye so that alterations can be made to your eyeglass or contact lens prescription. However, the doctor also needs to look at the back of your eye, the retina, to check if it is healthy and not damaged or showing signs of disease.

Our office is an independent optometry office inside the Elk Grove Costco that can assist you with LASIK by helping to determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure, doing detailed measurements prior to LASIK, working with highly experienced surgeons and providing the care after the procedure.

A comprehensive eye health and vision exam is $80. A basic contact lens exam is $130. If you have astigmatism or need bifocal correction and want to wear contact lenses, there is a modest additional cost. We think it is important that all of our patients receive an annual eye exam. Your vision can change over a 12-month period.
