A filling repairs a cavity that has occurred as a result of tooth decay. We may also recommended placing a filling on a slightly chipped or cracked tooth. We create aesthetic tooth-colored fillings using a composite material that is color matched to the shade of your own teeth. A dental crown or a "cap" is used to cover and restore a tooth that is too damaged to be repaired with a filling material.

Getting your child's teeth off to a good start is an important part of your child's health. Dental visits can start for your child as early as their first birthday.

Rinse your mouth vigorously with warm water to clean out debris. Use dental floss to remove trapped food. If swelling is present, apply cold compress to the outside of the cheek. Do not take aspirin or ibuprofen because they are anticoagulants which can cause excessive bleeding. To alleviate pain, take acetaminophen as directed on the packaging label.
