8U Hockey
Report
Recommended as a first step for beginning hockey players who completed a Learn to Skate class and have a solid base of fundamental skating skills. Program serves as an introduction to "team" play with practice sessions and small-ice games. We strongly believe that keeping the players active and moving on the ice, having fun, and building confidence is essential.
Paperwork
Report
USA Hockey has done away with Consent to Treat (although it is still required for National-Bound teams) and Participant Code of Conduct forms and MAHA is doing away with the STAR form. Credential Checks will not require any forms except the USA Roster, Game Logs and Game sheets, Association Credential Sheet for player and team game count to be reviewed and Consent to Treat for National Bound teams.
Concussion Resources
Report
Michigan became the 39th U.S. state to enact a law that regulates sports concussions and return to athletic activity. The sports concussion legislation requires all coaches, employees, volunteers, and other adults involved with a youth athletic activity to complete a concussion awareness on-line training program.
