With a desire to represent a comprehensive approach to patient care, we knew that time spent with a patient was key to not just understanding the individual, but helping them heal. With this philosophical foundation, in 2004 we rented a building and opened our doors just across from the newly developed Towne Center.
We became well-known for our professionalism and for many specialties, including comprehensive orthopedic evaluation and treatment, manually-based physical therapy, and certified hand therapy. Two years later in 2006, we became the first private clinic in Baton Rouge to add pelvic health treatment.

Our Practice
Report
Brown Rogers Physical Therapy and Wellness offers an abundant list of specialties, two beautiful locations, an aquatic center, and overall, quality therapy. What does quality mean exactly? It is time with your therapist, and in our clinics, that equals manual therapy, education, exercise, and much more.
Meet the Team
Report
Above is our mix of specialized therapists and staff with brief yet inspired biographies. They hail from all areas of Louisiana, along with a few Mississppians, a Californian, a Dutch, a British, and a German staff member! Diversity of people and skills is why we are NOT a "cookie cutter" therapy clinic.
Aquatic Therapy
Report
The Aquatic Therapy program at Brown Rogers Physical Therapy focuses on in-pool exercise with a certified therapist. Our heated pool is located apart from the general treatment areas and has a single level, non-sloping floor, as well as an area for deep water activities. The pool is heated to 94 degrees, while the ambient room temperature is held close to water temperature for patient comfort.
ASTYM Therapy
Report
Astym treatment is a method of manual therapy, and is non-invasive, which means there are no injections or incisions. Instruments of various shapes are applied on top of the skin to locate dysfunctional (unhealthy) tissue, and to transfer mild to moderate pressure to the underlying soft tissue structures, using massage-like strokes.
Balance & Fall Prevention
Report
Balance and gait are inextricably linked because they can impact one another. The goal of physical therapy is to determine contributing factors that put a person at risk for a fall. Poor balance may be slowing reflexes, which make moving around seem more strenuous than it is. By the same token, poor posture, weak core strength, and dysfunctional gait can throw off those reflexes.
