The Smart Inspector
The Smart Inspector is a great company! I was able to set an appointment online and they came out the next day. The inspector was very thorough and did an excellent job explaining the conditions of the home. We had the smart inspector out to inspect our home recently. Forest was super knowledgeable and informative.

He found damage on our roof that could have ended up being a costly fix if it was left the way it was for a long period of time. I consider myself a jack-of-all-trades and a master of learning. I speak multiple languages, play multiple instruments, and love to build racecars. I enjoy woodworking, welding, and electrical work.
Services
Thermal Imaging
Report
Thermal imaging is a free service that The Smart Inspector offers with every high-quality home inspection; it's the only way to be as thorough as possible! Thermal cameras "see" the world differently than other cameras. Thermal cameras pick up traces of heat and allow inspectors to find deficiencies that would normally go unseen.
Hvac
Report
HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning; all major components for any home! Living in Texas, air conditioning is one of the most important aspects of a home. Every quality home inspection performed by The Smart Inspector gives good attention to your HVAC system(s). What are some of the main things a home inspector looks for with regards to HVAC? Proper function and temperature differentials are the obvious items.
Structural
Report
The structure of the home is one of the most important categories for any quality home inspection. This includes the foundation, the exterior and interior walls, the ceilings and floors, doors and windows, the attic area, and even the roof. The largest portion of the home inspection report is the structural section.
Electrical
Report
The Smart Inspector enjoys wiring quite a bit! The electrical system of your home starts at the service entrance, goes through the electrical meter, and branches out to your appliances from the main electrical panel. There are many ways that electrical systems can fail. Firstly, the building standards are constantly changing, so what was once acceptable may no longer be safe now that years of testing certain products have passed.
Pool & Spas
Report
If you live in Texas then you either have a pool of your own or you know someone who does. Buying a house with a pool is a big responsibility, but it has a really big reward! If you are buying a property with a pool, be sure to reduce your risk and have the pool inspected during your home inspection.
