Vaguely Reminiscent has been a fixture on Ninth Street in Durham, NC since 1982. It is in a tiny space that has evolved from selling natural fiber clothing and basket-weaving supplies, to eclectic and comfortable women's clothing and shoes. Our collection also includes jewelry, accessories, fun toys, quirky socks, and gifts for everyone on your list.

Just a sample of the merchandise we carry, our Lookbook will take you through some of Vaguely's cult favorites. Although the collection is small at the moment, we hope it is reminiscent of perusing through the store, in person. We are not set up for online sales at this time. Our selection combines styles from brands including Effie's Heart, Habitat, Apsara, Yushi, L.A. Soul, and Nusantara. Capsule black and white pieces are integrated with eclectic prints that give an extra Vaguely edge whether age 16, 86, or something in between. Below is a fraction of what is offered in store.

We carry a wide selection of socks for men and women from Blue Q, Socksmith, Solmate Socks, and compression socks from Vim & Vigor. Be sure to check out our custom Durham socks from Freaker USA! Made in Hickory, NC, Solmate's cotton yarns are recycled from textile production scraps and used clothing.
