Our goal is to offer Quality Speech and Language Therapy Services to children and their families. We do this by providing individualized therapy sessions and parent training to teach the skills necessary to help children become successful communicators at home, at school, and throughout their lives.

Melanie graduated from the University of Utah with a Master of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She is a nationally certified clinician with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and a member of the Utah Speech-Language Hearing Association. FAQs
Report
Speech Language Pathology is the diagnosis and treatment of communication disorders. Speech Language Pathologists are certified and trained to evaluate, diagnose, and treat individuals with communication disorders. Many of the children we serve are also receiving services elsewhere. They can continue receiving services in those other places while working with us.
What Can I Do
Report
1. Reduce the pace. Speak with your child in an unhurried way, pausing frequently. Wait a few seconds after your child finishes before you begin to speak. Your own easy, relaxed speech will be far more effective than any advice such as "slow down" or "try it again slowly. 2. Full listening. Try to increase those times that you give your child your undivided attention and are really listening.
Testimonials
Report
I have the highest praise for Melanie at We Speak Speech Therapy! She is amazing! I brought my 4 year old in when we were having regular trouble understanding her. We worked with Melanie for about 9 months and the difference is night and day. My daughter looked forward to each session and would ask almost daily if we were going to speech.
