The three words that stand out from the school's mission and vision that best align with my values are: empower, prepare, and non-judgmental. I felt drawn to this position and in particular Community College Preparatory Academy because first and foremost we are called as educators to empower others.

Our adult learners come to us with tremendous potential and major challenges to their academic success. In order to address those challenges we have to work strategically with partners like the Department of Employment Services and the UDC Community College to support recruitment and assessment of potential students.

As a DC public charter school, Community College Preparatory Academy is accountable to residents of the District of Columbia through the DC Public Charter School Board's oversight of our charter school operations. The Public Charter School Board's performance management framework (PMF) holds our school accountable to providing excellence in education for our students.

Students enrolled in our GED Completion program pathway enjoy a relaxed setting and specialized instruction tailored for each individual. Instruction features a blended learning model that incorporates both technology and direct instruction in student learning.

CCPrep's College Readiness program allows students to save time and money! Individualized instruction from our highly-qualified instructors ensures a student's successful completion of the Accuplacer exam, which evaluates a student's preparedness for college-level courses.

Totally Incompetent managers with a clickish mentality. If you check out their reviews they were able to create new account on indeed/glassdoor and place student reviews on there. The entire site is nothing but student reviews or new employees that I helped train personally. And of course they do not pay out bonuses, they do not pay out sick leave, they do not pay out pto all of which they are required to do. There is a constant bullying once you are not complaint even with rules that make no sense at all. I dont believe me ask yourself this. If this company has been in business for ten years why do the reviews only date back as far as 20 -21. That is because employees that gave their all, were speaking out. As an employee they will not pay out as agreed. As an educator they will lie, gaslight, neg, and implement strategies to break you. They will say you are doing something wrong and then psuedo-manager takes it as his own idea. There will be constant write-ups if you and a manager bump heads Office culture is the only culture in their minds. They do not respect personal boundaries. They do not consider employee scheduling in their programs. They go through your desk will not looking. They spread lies (EG he ate my charcutier board. I did not but I am going to eat a small one in her honor). The place is infested with mice and roaches. I know that because when I first arrived on the MC Terrel site one bunny hopped in the principals office. And they also threw out my food that was in the pantry. The Founder Cornelia V. Spinner who is affectionately know as Connie. There is no way this woman was affection or even endearing in her teaching or philanthropy phases. She was obsessed with Joe Clarke. She was not competent enough to be him. A mean spirted woman that stole millions away from tax payers, the city, students, and those that were the most vulnerable. They will bog you down with work and unnecessary paperwork that will deeply impede your work with students. They will task you with calling students that have never fully enrolled but they are still billing the government. A meeting will take precedence over a student. A meeting with head vice nothing will take precedence over a student. As a student they have been known to cheat on exams so that may appeal to some. But stay strong and apply elsewhere. There will only be lies, confusion, neg and a mind blowing amount of incompetence.
