We assess all new dogs first by conducting a dog-to-dog interview prior to their first day. We immediately stop any overly exuberant or overly rough play. We adhere to a 'One-Strike-You're -Out' Policy for any new dogs showing any type of aggression or extreme disruptive behavior during their first day.
We supervise the dogs the entire time they are interacting. Dogs are crated at pick up time as this is most vulnerable time in dog daycare, when the dogs are tired and are anxious to reunite with their owners. We have a separate indoor and outdoor space for small dogs. We keep barking at a bare minimum to keep arousal low, to keep stress low, and so we can hear the things we need to hear.

If your dog is social with other dogs, healthy, and either spayed or neutered (when over 6mos old), they are well on their way to joining "The Brat Pack". You will need to fill out the Application Form, Terms and Agreement, and obtain a copy of his or her Vaccination Record. These forms are available on our Registration Page.

Wags Daycare is open at its new location in Manchester, Maine and is currently hiring for position of Dog Attendant! Your duties will include monitoring the dogs in our care, plenty of detailed cleaning, feeding and medicating as needed, and other duties as assigned. You will be taking incoming calls, returning calls, in-taking and releasing pets to their owners, and other office duties as required.
