I grew up with different breeds, from German Shepherd to Chihuahua and Staffordshire Bull Terriers, which my father owned. Most of these different breeds were just our pets. My grandmother always had Poodles and Shih Tzu's. Granny had the prettiest bright red Shih Tzu I had ever seen and I fell in love.

We guarantee that this puppy/dogs parents are registered with either AKC/ FC I / UKC/ARBA/ Rarities. All puppies/dogs that are sold with Limited Registration will be given a Birth Certificate from Showboat Kennels verifying that this is a purebred. The puppy must be spayed or neutered before 6 months of age.

Shibas are bold and independent dogs with a sensitive side. Alert, energetic and full of life, Shibas follow their instincts and do their own thing. But they form strong bonds with their masters and their families, wanting plenty of attention and face-time without seeming needy or dependent. They can be a little standoffish with strangers, but have a playful openness with children.

Around the home, the Coton de Tulear is fun, friendly and very affectionate. Full of heart and humor, the Coton makes a great companion for the young and old alike. All it needs is exercise, attention and the occasional treat to keep it in good spirits. The Coton de Tulear may ultimately be an indoor dog, but it loves to play outdoors in any kind of weather.
