At Big Al's we know the importance of being involved. We support local trail development, and cycling advocacy in our community and beyond. We sponsor the Crested Butte Mountain Bike Association, and encourage employees to be members and participate in Trail work whenever possible. The shop participates in the 1% for Open Space program that collects a 1% tax on all goods purchased at our store that is then used to preserve land in our area.

On-line reservations are live! OUR FLEET REMAINS LIMITED THRU THE MONTH OF JUNE. If you are trying to book a bike and it shows no availability it's because there are none. Please choose another model. If you call the shop we cannot make bikes appear out of nowhere. Our Hard Tail mountain bikes are awesome mountain bikes offered at our most affordable price.

We have hundreds of miles of mountain bike trails in Crested Butte area. From scenic beginner loops to epic back country adventures. In addition to the trails in the National Forest and surrounding area, we have an awesome bike park at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. There are a variety of gravel loops to explore also.

Hi there, we are so happy that you are planning to come see us. Although we love to take your calls and help you plan, we do get very busy in spring and summer. Here are answers to some of the questions we get asked the most. Crested Butte sits at 8,995 ft above sea level and is in the heart of the West Elk Mountains.
