Services
Landscape Installation
Custom landscape construction from initial design to final planting. Our team handles terrain modification, plant selection, and feature integration while maintaining ecological balance. Projects include complete garden overhauls and additions like outdoor kitchens or fireplaces. We ensure proper drainage and irrigation system integration for long-term sustainability.
Hardscaping
Specialized stonework including flagstone patios, rock terraces, and retaining walls. Our masons create durable, aesthetically pleasing structures using local materials in styles ranging from formal to rustic. Services include fireplace and fire pit construction, pathway development, and decorative rock features tailored to Santa Fe's architectural character.
Xeriscaping
Drought-resistant landscape design that reduces water consumption while maintaining visual appeal. We select native plants and incorporate water-harvesting techniques like cisterns. This service includes soil preparation, efficient irrigation setup, and creating attractive rock-based designs that thrive in New Mexico's arid climate.
Garden Maintenance
Year-round garden upkeep by experienced horticulturists. Services include seasonal planting, pruning, pest control, and irrigation monitoring. Our crew maintains plant health through proper watering techniques and soil management while performing regular tidying tasks like cobweb removal and pathway cleaning.
Water Gardens
Custom water feature installation including ponds, waterfalls, and fountains. We design circulation systems for desert environments, select appropriate aquatic plants, and integrate natural rock formations. These features provide aesthetic focal points while creating micro-ecosystems that attract local wildlife to outdoor spaces.

We put off landscaping our yard during covid. This fall I saw an Instagram post from McCumber and decided to check out their website. I called and setup a site visit. Kendall listened to all the ideas I had dreamed up for two years and gave me the game plan on how we could make it work. Her crew showed up as scheduled, worked efficiently, and left the areas they worked in clean and neat. Great communication daily and prompt response to emails and phone calls.
I'll return to McCumber in the spring to buy my plants for the garden boxes and anything else I dream up! I highly recommend this

I love this place! I went in to look for a pot for a plant and was amazed at what I stumbled across! I pass this place all the time on Old Las Vegas Highway and figured even though their bread and butter was probably landscaping, I might still be able to find a small ceramic planter.
Apparently, not only to they create waterfalls for people's back yards, but they also have an excellent selection of very happy healthy house plants, even a few of the harder to find types you see on Instagram and lust after. They have tons of pots from giant glazed works of art to the simple and affordable terra

Although I admire the work McCumber Fine Garden landscaping does to maintain some of the public medians in Santa Fe, I found it impossible to get projects scheduled with this unresponsive business. In order to arrange for a representative to visit your home to assess your landscaping projects, a $200 'consultation fee' is required. Even once the fee is paid, it took two e-mails, four phone calls and a personal visit to their office to try to arrange a meeting. When the office manager was 'too busy' to speak with me in person, I requested a refund of my consultation fee. Clearly
