Ely-Winton Historical Society
Incorporated in 1979, the Vermilion Community College (VCC) Foundation supports the college in providing exceptional, affordable education to our students. The VCC Foundation is incorporated under the statutes of the State of Minnesota, classified as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization under IRS guidelines, and operates with the sanction of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System.

All gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible. Through the support of generous donors, the Foundation awards scholarships for tuition and textbooks, assists students with emergency needs, and supports educational programming for the college and the community.
Services
Natural Resource & Water Management
Report
Designed to transfer for additional education, the Fisheries and Wildlife Management program gives students a strong hands-on start mixed with a rigorous mathematics and scientific background needed to become fisheries and wildlife managers and biologists.

The land surveying program at Vermilion offers students a mix of general education courses along with specific skill courses to prepare students to transfer to bachelor's degree program and eventually obtain licensing as a registered land surveyor.Designed to lead directly to employment, the Natural Resource Technology degree prepares students with a wide variety of skill sets to work outdoors.
Law Enforcement/EMS

The Criminal Justice/Police Science program at Vermilion focuses on meeting the Minnesota Police Officer Standards and Training requirements. Emergency Medical Services provides the skill sets students need to be able to pass the national registry exam for Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with written, oral, and physical skills.
Business
Report
The Business A.S. is based around a skill set that will allow a graduate to work in a variety of fields and be applicable to many different jobs. Vermilion's program focuses on building that skill set with hands-on focus with small business, accounting, marketing, economics, and general business skills.
Liberal Arts & Sciences

The Liberal Arts and Sciences program focuses on developing a well-rounded student who has studied a variety of subjects. Students who have a plan to continue their education after this degree, are exploring subjects that are of interest to them, or are just not quite sure which direction is the best fit often find this degree a great match.
Outdoor Recreation & Wilderness
Report
Designed as an add-on certificate, the backcountry guide program prepares students who want to work or play in a backcountry wilderness setting. Focused on either travel or interpretation, students will gain a skill set to go places without civilization. Students have the option of a one-year diploma or two-year degree in outdoor leadership.
