You may be wondering where all the fun for the kids on SPI is? It's here! At SPI Sessions we host Kids Summer Camps that specialize in fun and learning. We offer a 6-Day Camp (which is inclusive of all 3 kids camps), or you can book any of the camp sessions individually. Our environmental focus this summer, once again will be to, educate, promote, and share the importance of freeing our lives from personal use plastics.

South Padre Island is a barrier peninsula island located at the tip of Texas. Our beautiful geographic location allows us to be bay or beach side in minutes! Find us at beach access 3 or "Beach Circle" on the Gulf side during our summer hours of operation.

Meet the Team

SPI Sessions has a unique approach to our staff. We call ourselves 'Beach Life Instructors' because we believe we share more with the student than just a surfing lesson. We are well-rounded individuals with love for all things friendly to our beaches and lifestyles. We maintain a rotating staff of 4-5 Beach Life Instructors and 2-3 Science Specific Trainers throughout our sessions.

As a beach life instructor you are responsible for being the exemplar to others as a professional role model, instructor and beach life coach.

Students will learn about the Water Cycle and that the sun is a major source of energy. Students are encouraged to be creative with their activity and build their own Water Cycle to put in their window at home. In this lesson students will learn about different cloud types using their handy Cloud Watcher Tool.
Spi For A Strawless Ocean

SPI for a Strawless Ocean is a city-wide effort to omit plastic straws from South Padre Island, Texas. We are working vigorously to help educate our culture of restaurants and food and beverage industry professionals to practice and implement a "straw upon request" policy as well as adopt the appropriate paper straw for consumers with the need.
