Freedom Farm partners with the unique gifts of the horse to offer healing, hope, confidence, and strength. It has been said that, 'In riding a horse, we borrow freedom.' In 2000, I decided to fulfill a dream to share that freedom with those whose lives, minds and bodies are not as free. Inspired by my life experiences and training, I opened my heart and the doors to Freedom Farm, a therapeutic riding center in Waverly, Minnesota.

Freedom Farm relies heavily on volunteers to maintain our programs and care for the 12 horses on our 20 acre facility. Eighty percent of costs must be met through fundraising events, grants and individual and corporate giving. Yours is a treasured partnership. As a Freedom Partner, 100% of your donation goes directly to funding our programs, volunteers and clients.

This is often a great fit for horse owners that have a horse they can no longer compete with but love their horse so much they want them to be well taken care of. Light riding keeps the horses mentally and physically happy. Owners can be as involved as they desire. Email a brief video of your horse being ridden at walk, trot, canter/lope.

November is a month of thanksgiving, and Freedom Farm is so very thankful for its wonderful and amazing volunteers. Each November, at the conclusion of a rewarding season, we spend a great night blessing our volunteers with a meal and awards for their special service throughout the year. Please check your emails for information, dates and RSVP instructions.
