My name is Caroline Sabi, and I am a licensed professional counselor. I earned my bachelor's degree in the field of psychology from UC Berkeley and my master's degree in the field of counseling psychology from Lewis & Clark College. I provide therapy and coaching to residents of Oregon and coaching to people all over the United States.
Remarkably, I knew since the age of 9 that working in the field of mental health was my calling; however, life had other plans for me. My destiny was to immigrate twice, and detour to law school in France before landing in the USA and getting my formal education in counseling psychology.

My focus as a relational and existential-humanistic psychotherapist is to walk the path of healing into wholeness with my client. It is my honor and privilege to be a companion and a guide to whomever decides to take the chance to venture on this journey to self-transformation. The pathways on this journey will be complex, multilayered, circular and even mysteriously numinous.

Painful experiences from childhood and later in life as well traumatic events seem to get locked into our nervous system with the original images, sounds, thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, self-perceptions, etc. Frequently, we do not remember consciously exactly what happened, especially when painful experiences occurred at a young age.

I ask that you pay my fee directly to me (check, cash or credit card) at the end of each session. You are responsible for payment whether or not you choose to use insurance coverage. Insurance coverage has advantages and disadvantages. Typically I am not covered by any managed care plan, health management organization or preferred provider plan.
