In 1984 I had a tube chassis Vega project that I sold before I ever finished it. 34 years later it looks like the Race Vega might become a reality afterall. Cody Nelson, the youngest member of our team has decided he wants everyone in Kansas City to see his tail lights at the finish line. We have been rebuilding the Sierra and Silverado transmissions for several years now and we always see the same problem. The pump wears out and the loss of pressure ends up ruining the torque converter. When the torque converter fails it ruins the rest of the transmission requiring the $4300 repair.
