I was in Army ROTC at Florida State University (about to graduate and commission) this past spring when I started having hip pain that prohibited me from exercising and even walking to class, which debilitated my training. I noticed it during my daily run when I had to fall out, and I called to Body Mechanix that morning and Dr. Brandon saw me that same day. A couple of years ago I sprained my knee while training. My knee would buckle if I tried to bear weight on it, or do any kind of twisting motion. I waited 3 months before seeking any help. I was hoping that time would help heal it, and it did, but I noticed I needed something more. Because of the sprain I couldn’t train or teach properly and being a Martial Arts business owner this was really bad.
Going to Dr. Alkire was the best decision. He helped me understand why I had sprained my knee in the first place, and where my weaknesses are. As an athlete this kind of information is invaluable.

Before going to therapy I could barely stay seated in the same position for too long, including driving for more than 2 hours straight. I had to bare several years of pain until my first appointment, my lower back pain was less intense. The therapy provided me strengthening exercises, instead of typical medication, to ease my pain. Highly recommended, in a few session I was able to be back to normal from my lower back injury.

This is a great place!!! I went here after having some knee pain while training martial arts. Dr. Alkire was tremendously helpful in immediately diagnosing my issue (hip instability), and then devising a plan of care to correct first the muscular imbalance, and then the neurological implementation, explaining every step along the way! He watched my movements and helped correct any poor form on my part, as well as gave me pointers on what to emphasize in the movement and what specifically to avoid. I can not recommend this place enough!!!

After 20 plus years of being in pain with my back and neck, I decided to see Dr. Brandon. I had tried everything before and nothing seemed to work or it would work for a short time and then I was in pain again. I liked that his program was meant to only include limited visits. Dr. Brandon gives you the knowledge to keep healthy long after your visit's end. About a year ago I fell off a pair of gymnastics rings as I was performing a toe hang and landed in a seated L position. I injured my low back/glute area around my SI joint. It was an awful fall and I ignored the trauma that it caused the muscles surrounding that area. I began noticing a lot of imbalances and pain when I sat or stretched a certain way. Dr. Brandon is the best of the best! At our very first, introductory visit (which he didn't even charge us for) I didn't really know what to expect, nor did I have much hope for improvement in my child's condition. I was amazed!
